Hoofz Dualie Squelchers
A balanced Dualies with long range for its class and high mobility, since it has no end lag after dodge rolls. Its splat speed is on the slow side, but it keeps short-range weapons away by shooting while backing off and is great at supporting the front from a step behind your teammates. Its signature technique is the "jump cancel": jumping right out of a dodge roll.

Best stages / Worst stages
Strengths
- Long range for Dualies, so it can chase off short-range weapons from outside their range
- No end lag after dodge rolls, so you can keep fighting while rolling backward to hold your distance
- Jump cancels throw off the enemy's aim while you fire low-spread shots
- Above-average painting, so you can stubbornly hold the front with paint and zoning
Watch out for
- 28 damage per shot and four shots to splat, so splat speed is slow and it's bad at forcing splats
- Dodge rolls cost a lot of ink, making it easy to run dry
- Standing shots use two reticles and the shots are slow, so they're actually hard to land
- Both the main and Wave Breaker struggle with elevation, so enemies camping high ground are hard to hit
- Once enemies get in close, its slow splat speed tends to lose the fight
Tips
- Stay a step behind your teammates and use your range to cover them in fights
- Against approaching enemies, dodge roll backward to reset your distance and keep firing from outside their range
- When switching from painting to fighting, swim for a moment first to reset your shot spread
- Practice the fastest jump-cancel timing in the test range
