Forge Splattershot Pro
A splat-focused shooter that's strong in mid-range fights, combining long range, low spread, and a three-shot kill. In exchange, it burns ink fast and is weak at painting, so its job is to take control of the map by splatting enemies rather than grinding it out with paint. Its playstyle changes by kit: Angle Shooter + Crab Tank, Suction Bomb + Booyah Bomb, or Splat Bomb + Tenta Missiles.

Best stages / Worst stages
Strengths
- Long range and almost no spread, so it's easy to hit what you aim at even at max range
- A three-shot kill at long range lets you force your range on short-range weapons and push them back
- It holds its damage well even where falloff starts, so mid-range fights are consistent
- The base and Forge versions sit in the top tier of GameWith's tier list in several ranked modes, including Tower Control, so they're highly rated in the current meta
Watch out for
- Very heavy ink use, so firing too much or spamming your sub runs you dry fast
- Weak paint that barely covers your feet, so it struggles in paint battles or when fighting on enemy ink
- Slow run speed while firing, so short-range weapons like the Splattershot or .52 Gal tend to win once they get in close
- It often struggles against enemies with equal or longer range, like the Squeezer, .96 Gal, Hydra Splatling, and Chargers
- The base version has no bomb and struggles to deal with Splash Walls and Brellas
Tips
- Focus on landing shots at the tip of your range. If an enemy gets you inside their range, don't force the fight. Swim back and reset
- It burns ink, so submerge often after firing to refill, and don't throw your sub back to back
- A direct Angle Shooter hit does 40 damage. Use it to finish enemies you chipped who ran out of range, or to mark them and chase
- Crab Tank doesn't shine up close, so use it from a safe spot on enemies your main can't reach, like on high ground or in the backline
