The only Brella that can keep firing with the canopy open. It can't launch the canopy, the canopy is fragile, and its main weapon damage is among the lowest of all weapons. But it's ink-efficient and paints well, and it can safely chase down enemies already chipped by Ink Mines or otherwise hurt from behind its canopy. Its main role is helping teammates with paint and harassment rather than racking up splats alone.

Strengths

You can fire with the canopy open, and it turns quickly as you turn, so it's easy to win against weakened enemies or in 1v1s
Good ink efficiency and fast side-to-side painting, so it's great at repainting zones and building specials
Getting a splat or assist instantly fully repairs a damaged canopy
Ink Mines on the front deal damage and mark enemies who step on them, helping your teammates get splats
Lightweight with good mobility

Watch out for

Each shot maxes out at 40 damage and it fires slowly, so its time-to-kill is among the worst of all weapons
The canopy is weak and breaks from a direct bomb hit or a single fully charged Charger shot
Struggles against Blasters and Sloshers that ignore the canopy with arcs and explosions, and against Splatanas and other Brellas that break it quickly
It has almost no way to hit far away, so breaking a hold while long-range players are watching is tough
Can't handle multiple enemies at once, and it's barely used in competitive play

Tips

The basic play is holding ZR to fire with the canopy open. When a bomb looks likely, tap-fire to keep the canopy closed and save it
Don't take on full-health enemies head-on. Target ones already chipped by your Ink Mines or teammates
Re-place your Ink Mine every time the front moves up, on paths enemies are likely to take or at the entrances to high ground
Close the canopy the moment an enemy stops attacking, like when they throw a bomb or sink to refill ink, so it can recover

Curling Bombs lay ink paths so you can move and close in quickly, and Killer Wail 5.1 reveals enemy positions so you and your team can finish off weakened targets.
