Splatana Wiper RUS-T
A versatile Splatana that mixes horizontal and charged slashes, blade hits and flying projectiles. Its movement speed while attacking is among the fastest of any weapon. The basic approach is to treat it as "a mid-range weapon that can also fight up close": chip from mid range, and punish anyone who closes in with a one-hit charged slash. It also has high object damage, but each hit is weak, so it's not great at winning fights on its own.

Best stages / Worst stages
Strengths
- Among the fastest movement speeds of any weapon while attacking, so you can dodge shots as you fight
- A point-blank charged slash blade hit splats in one hit, great against enemies closing in or landing from a Super Jump
- Projectiles don't lose damage even at max range, so you can chip from slightly farther than the main short-range Shooters
- Every attack paints your feet, and the straight line of paint makes an easy path to move along
- High object damage, so it quickly breaks Wave Breakers, Big Bubblers, Booyah Bombs, Crab Tanks and more
Watch out for
- Low damage per hit and a slow TTK, so 1v1s against full-health enemies are rough
- Projectiles don't arc, so they can't reach enemies hiding behind cover or up on ledges
- The charged slash's one-hit hitbox is narrow, and missing leaves you open
- Longer-range weapons can shoot you one-sidedly, and it also struggles against Blasters that can shut down your dodging
- If you lock into just one role it becomes a worse Roller or a worse mid-range weapon; without mastery it ends up a jack of all trades, master of none
Tips
- Think of it as "a mid-range weapon that can also fight up close," and chip enemies with horizontal slashes while hovering just behind the front line
- Learn the standard splat combo: charged slash projectile (60) + two horizontal slashes (30 each)
- Throw a Torpedo before a fight to pull the enemy's attention and aim off you. Roll it along the ground so it pops instantly and it links into combos too
- If an enemy is waiting where you'll land from a Super Jump, charge in midair and do a charged slash the moment you land to shift your position
