Custom Range Blaster
A splat-focused Blaster that plays like a Blaster with extra range: one direct hit or two blast hits splats. In exchange, its painting, fire rate and ink efficiency are among the worst of any Blaster, and missing a shot leaves you wide open. The base version has Suction Bomb and Wave Breaker for zoning and scouting, while the Custom has Splat Bomb and Kraken Royale for stronger 1v1s and a better answer up close.

Strengths
- One direct hit or two blast hits splats, so you can hunt for splats from mid range without taking return fire
- Blasts reach past ledges and small obstacles, making it easy to hit hidden enemies and enemies on high ground
- As long as you don't leave openings, you can go toe-to-toe with long-range weapons like Chargers camping high ground
- Enemies hit by a blast show up on the map for a while, so you can read where they're running and chase them down
Watch out for
- About 1 second between shots, so if you miss, enemies can close in during that gap
- Blasts only go off at the end of the shot's path, so up close you have to land a direct hit
- Painting and ink efficiency are among the worst of any weapon, so it struggles to paint home turf and build special
- Struggles against Dualies that force their way in with dodge rolls (especially Glooga Dualies) and against the Rapid Blaster Pro, which outranges it
- Weak to enemies sneaking up with Ninja Squid and to ambushes from where you aren't looking
Tips
- Aim for two blast hits at mid range, and switch to direct hits when enemies get close. Treat close-range direct-hit duels as a last resort
- Your shots are slow, so lead your targets and fire where they're going
- Without Intensify Action, jump shots spread a lot, so fire from the ground
- After landing a blast, check the map for the enemy's position and calmly decide whether to chase. Don't overchase a coordinated team

A 1v1-focused kit: the fast-exploding Splat Bomb combos with your blasts or can be rolled at your feet to fend off attackers, and Kraken Royale fights back in the close-range fights you're bad at (with no scouting tools, watch out for ambushes).Recent changes
- 11.0.0: System change for all weapons: main weapons get bigger hitboxes against players (the shorter the range, the bigger the boost), squid form gets a smaller hurtbox, and the game adds "Flow Aura" (a temporary power-up when you keep performing well) plus a remaining-health display (source 9)
- 11.0.1: Main weapon (all Blasters): fixed a bug that made the small blast from shots hitting terrain slightly bigger than intended (source 10)
- 11.2.0: Main weapon (all Blasters): blast hitbox against players reduced (source 11)
