Mini Splatling RTL-R
A Splatling with a super fast charge and one of the best movement speeds while firing of any weapon. Its burst painting is among the best in the game, and it builds specials quickly. But it has the shortest range of any Splatling and poor ink efficiency, so managing spacing and ink decides your games.

Strengths
- Its burst painting is among the best of all weapons, so specials come around fast
- The charge is quick at about 0.45 seconds and you move very fast while firing, so you can fight on the move
- It has about the range of the L-3 Nozzlenose, so it can hit short-range weapons from outside their reach
- Gets especially good value from Run Speed Up
- The base version's Burst Bombs let you finish off enemies, make footing and cover teammates, covering the main weapon's weak points
Watch out for
- Shortest range of any Splatling, so it really struggles against anything that outranges it
- Each shot costs a lot of ink, and it has the fewest total shots from a full tank of any Splatling. Running out of ink is common
- Firing time is short at about 1.4 seconds, and if you don't finish the job, the recharge leaves a big opening. Fighting multiple enemies at once is tough
- Because it needs to charge, ambushing from ink and reacting to sudden rushes are hard
- Shots are slow with a lot of spread, so you need to lead moving targets. It also struggles on terrain with a lot of height differences
Tips
- When painting, fire off the whole charge once you start, and refill ink in one go after a few full charges
- In fights, cancel unneeded shots right away to save ink, and never let your tank go completely empty
- Stay at a distance where you're outside their range but they're inside yours, and strafe to dodge shots while firing
- Charging behind cover, then popping out to splat someone is its bread and butter. Don't let enemies see you charging
